There are projects that go far beyond technical expertise. Projects that demand not only precision and know-how, but also respect, sensitivity, and responsibility.
One such project was LC LASERS' intervention at the Mosque–Cathedral of Córdoba, one of the world's most important monuments and an undisputed symbol of Spain's historical heritage.
As specialists in laser cleaning technology, we were entrusted with an exciting challenge: to demonstrate that it was possible to remove decades of accumulated contamination without touching, damaging, or altering the essence of a building with centuries of history.
During the intervention, we removed multiple layers of paint that had accumulated over many years, carefully and selectively removing them to reveal the original polychromy, while fully preserving the underlying substrate and the historical integrity of the monument.
