Laser welding

Laser welding allows fast and precise welding. A versatile technique that allows us to work with different materials with a fiber laser.

Laser welding is one of the most modern welding methods. It is characterised by good efficiency, speed and high versatility, with the option of combining different shapes and configurations of joints in different materials. It is a process that, by means of a laser beam, melts and recrystallises a surface or material to be joined and welded, usually metals or plastics.

Laser welding has different possibilities for joining different types of metals. The equipment is configurable and adaptable to each job. It offers the possibility of welding with or without the addition of material, by means of an integrated automatic wire feeding system.

An important aspect to highlight is that we can obtain up to 5mm of complete penetration, which is not possible with other systems. We also get an incredible production speed, which allows us to optimise welding processes, saving time and costs for the company.

Other advantages that we would highlight are: the low smoke generation, the possibility of working with very small and detailed seams, it does not use too many consumables, it does not require a second reworking, it allows a work without discolouration, it does not leave welding marks and the heat input is minimal, which allows us a minimum deformation of the material. It can replace arc welding, electric welding or other welding processes.

In laser welding we can opt for different types of welding nozzles, in order to adapt the equipment to each job. It is designed to be easy and comfortable to use, it has an integrated interactive control system that can vary the range, the angle, the width of the weld and different parameters, according to the work to be carried out depending on the surface.

It works with a simple, quick-to-learn operating system that does not require a high level of specialisation or previous experience from the user.

Advantages of laser welding

The laser welding unit incorporates an integrated wire feeder. The unit can be configured to choose to work with or without material feed. It is a compact and integrated design for easy handling.

LC Lasers laser welding machines have a welding speed of 0-120mm/s, a higher speed than other types of welding. This saves time on our welding jobs.

The rework process is necessary on some materials welded with other types of welding, the elimination of this process is one of the main advantages of laser welding and one that many customers value.

Work a wide variety of metal materials with the same machine and with different welding techniques if you wish. As we have already mentioned, these machines are widely configurable to be adapted to different welding jobs.

The welds made with laser have a good resistance and do not present deformations that could alter the joint.

Laser welding allows us to make joints of up to 5mm of full penetration, which is not possible with other systems.

Laser welding allows us to reduce the post-welding polishing process and guarantee the best finishes at incredible speed, thus avoiding extra costs and time. In addition, laser welding equipment has a long service life and uses very low quantities of consumables.

The laser welding gun has a very small and localised heat input. The lower the heat input, the higher the cooling speeds. This factor facilitates high hardness welding on materials with high carbon content. In addition, low heat input also facilitates low weld deformation and low distortion of the components being welded, which is very interesting for sectors such as jewellery or other jobs that expressly require very little deformation of the material.
